When I first saw this local slogan while visiting friends up in the bucolic central oregon community of Bend I thought it read "make local halibut". Which kinda made some weird sense for a moment.

Teds Market in SF

Lines that wrap around the aisles are common here to grab one of the great sandwiches available here at Teds. All for good reason as they churn them out fast here in this amazing little deli. Bake Sale Bettys

This is the most perfect Oakland establishment I've found. I could go on and on how great it is on so many levels but really just go, do yourself a favor and get the chicken sandwich. Grab a seat at an ironing board lunch table outside and enjoy.  Maybe after you wallow in the taste and pick the slaw out of your teeth for a bit go get a cookie or some other delicious goodie as your little desert snack.  All that is right with Oakland comes together at Bake Sale Bettys. http://www.bakesalebetty.com/

A few good options here. I always gravitate towards the thai place but there are some other gems here but I do find the beef panang curry exceptional at the thai food stand.

Folks if you forget to feed your parking meter here in our beautiful little city by the bay it will cost you a mere $63. So when deciding whether or not to put in that extra quarter think about that. Yikes

Rossmoor

Another first. After 22 years of delivering I just had my first delivery to the HUGE retirement community of Rossmoor. Located next to Walnut Creek, I can't get over how much is there, I felt like I was in Florida. Maybe you'll see me there on the golf course in 40 yrs, pretty nice.
